If i had to write a book…

I really hate the fact that people are always dissing gamers because they stay inside and play games. You realise that around 80% of gamers are actually fit and do alot of sports. They are most likely not going to be obese and are actually genuinely are social people. Wow people say to me go outside and play fetch with the dog. “Oi Oscar go fetch, no, Oscar! Ow, What the? OSCAR!!!! Here you get it like this…wait..go get- oh god no OSCAR GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!” Whereas you could be on the computer improving your skills for example “Ok there is a 16% chance survival and you must go for the eggs, remember to all put on intimidating shout when you get there, remember to soul steal when you are OOM and go for the dragons sepia, we want that epic item so we must work as team and the priest must retreat back and be protected by at least 1 dpser, the rougues must go in stealth and backstab as much as they can.” Im not saying that they should stay inside and play games all day they should excersize and go outside when it’s sunny. But just because you play a game your not necessarily a nerd or a fag. If i would say i stayed home because i had a cold or was sick and i enjoyed playing games and just played while i was at home, would that make me a nerd,geek,no life? No, if you enjoyed playing cards would that make you a nerd? It’s just a computer game, it’s not that such a big deal as people make it. Espcially when people are banning ‘violent’ computer games. Wow they get ideas on how to kill people and get influenced to violence. But then again what about all those T.V programmes? For example CSI, then obviously they should have to ban them aswell because they show how they would find out the killers even though it is overexaggerated. They would also get diffrent ideas as it is ABOUT killings. That’s why i really hate Stereotypes.

When i feel angry i like to smash my keyboard on the ground and then stomp on it really hard and also chuck it at a window. I get especially angry when i am playing a game and i get a thing called ‘lag’ it is where your internet slows you down and interupts your gameplay and disturbs you from owning noobs.The way that i control my anger is too tense really hard until i have no energy left to do anything. Grrr i don’t like getting mad, but it does happen from time to time. I try to control it :p but i don’t normally and use inappropriate language that my parent’s would not like to hear.

Incapacitation is where you get knocked on the ground  and must be helped by another survivor to get back up. You are knocked on the ground and get another bar of health. Your health will slowly deplete over time and your vision will get more blurry and darker. Once you have been incapacitated then you will have a diffrent type of health bar which will deplete to 1 hp and stay there. If you get incapacitated twice then your screen will go black and white and you will hear your heart beat. When your black and white you must heal with a first aid kid or else you will die the next incapacitation.

These are the infected bosses. The bosses come every 20 seconds and are much stronger than a normal infected.There could also be multiple number of special infected at one time but most like the the most you’ll probably ever see at one time is 6.  Normal infected are pretty much your everyday typical zombies that you would see in the movies, they have nothing special except for slowing you down each time they hit you. Which are kicking and punching (although you’d expect them to bite).

Note:Bosses or known as special infected are zombies that are stronger than the average type you see. In the gaming world a what is normally known as a ‘boss’ is a special character that is stronger than the average things that you fight and have special abilities.

Another Note: All special infected (bosses) have a certain disability of letting the survivors(Bill,Zoey,Louis and Francis) know that they are there, from using sound.

The Boomer.

The boomer is the big obese one that looks likes it cannot move. It moves very slowly and can be killed with only 1 shot. Easy right? Wrong if you are near the boomer while you shoot him/her/thing he will explode as he is filled full of gas. His ‘bile’ will go over you and will attract a ‘horde’ of zombies. A ‘horde’ is where a influx of zombies come all at once too attack you. The music will go on when they all come, sort of like a fast pace cello type of music and a bouncy type of tune. Also do not let the boomer throw up on you as that will get ‘bile’ over you and do the same thing.Also the bile will blind you and make your screen go all green and gooey but over time it will disappear.Remember how i told you about the sound and the hinting of the special infected hiding? Well the boomers is that he makes a sort of *bleaugh* *bleaugh* type of sound. Like half throwing up.

Note: When you see a boomer and it is very close. Shove it away and start walking back and shoot it at a distance. This is called a ‘Clean Kill’

The Hunter

The hunter is the cool gangster looking one with the hoodie on. It has to crouch and jump up in the air and land on you. It pounces with extreme speed and can pounce wall by wall and go to great heights. If you are pounced on by a hunter you are fully helpless and cannot do anything until a nearby survivor will shoot or knock the hunter off you. If they get to a very high place say for example a building and pounce you. You will take A LOT more damage. The key for hearing the hunter is that when they are crouching and ready to pounce you. They will make a growling noise that is very loud. And every time they pounce they screech so if you hear a screech it means that a hunter has pounced. So look up.

The Smoker

The Smoker is the one in the bottom left with the burned face. What he does is that he shoots his tongue at you and wraps it around you and drags you back or lets you hang off a cliff it can go along way and is a very dangerous. If he drags you over a cliff then your done for and as soon as he gets killed and lets go of you, you will fall down and die. Although he can go long distances it is still also very easy to kill him. When he is shot and dies there will be a puff of smoke which will obscure your vision when you walk into that smoke. IF he does manage to wrap his tongue around you, you have about 2-3 seconds too still shoot him before you are disabled and helpless. If you don’t get in time, call for help from the other survivors. They need to either shoot the tongue,hit it off or shoot the smoker itself. The key for the smoker is to listen to his coughing. He also has an aura of stench around him and it drags off. So if you walk around a corner and JUST see a trail of greeny dark brown smoke going behind a bin or something, then he is there. The trail should not be too long as the trail disappears quite quick so it’s always near him.

The Witch

The witch is the most hardest and the easiest thing to kill in the game. The witch is the little girl who is crying. She stays there sitting and crying. When you want to attack the witch, never ever have your flashlight on, if you do she reacts and attacks you straight away. When you get close you will hear her growling and start to stand up to get ready to attack. When she is provoked by loud sounds, lights, gunshots, or a survivor approaching too closely will trigger her to attack her provoker. She is able to knock down the provoker in one hit and will quickly kill them. In easy, moderate and hard(levels) she will knock you and automatically incapacitate you.(more about incapacitation later) Whereas in expert she will automatically kill you. You can sneak past her if you want but that would ruin the fun   What you do to kill her the easiest is too go up close, and she will start to rise (remember to have your flashlight off it’s the “f” key and you must have a shotgun to do this, doesn’t matter if its pump or auto) when she is slightly up and she looks up at you. Put your cross hair RIGHT between her eyes, take a deep breath and pull the trigger, and there we go she’s dead Easy as that. But you can also go do alternatives like..burning the witch and running maybe shoot her and run like hell and shoot and you can choose your own various ways to kill her. Too know that the witch is near you will hear a scary echo of crying. And also a nice neat thing is that when you do start to hear her cry, your character(or another character) will often say a phrase to warn you for example “There’s a witch! Turn your flashlight’s off!”

The Tank

Last of all is the tank. He is the big body builder in the bottom right. You will get warned on when he is coming, he would be a bit further away when all this heavy music comes on like *DUN DUN DUN!* and you will freak out when you see him. He is not too hard to kill with co-operation. You must get your entire team of 4 to take him down and always co-operate on what he’s going to do next. If you throw a Molotov and set him on fire, he will stay on fire(due to oils coming out from his back) You must remember that if he is set on fire he can only live for 40 seconds. This requires you too run around a lot and shoot him at the same time. If you can do that then your all set. But he if does manage to get a nice hook on you, you will be knocked back around 3 – 4 meters and that is also a huge disadvantage as you will have lost precious seconds and he would also be on you before your on your feet again. The tank can also rip earth from under the ground and chuck it at you. He can also hit heavy objects like trees,forklifts,desks and more to get you,if he hits a car at you and you are stuck under it, then you are dead meat, when he hits an object and it hits you, you are also instantly incapacitated. But be aware of not only the tank though, because just because there is a tank it doesn’t mean that is a boomer hiding around the corner too. If a boomer get’s its “bile” on you. You are blind for about around 10-20 seconds and that is a huge disadvantage as the tank could get a lot of hits or you could get stuck at a dead end. The tank requires a huge amount of team co-operation.

Bill is a more of a serious person and has experience at his age. He was a war veteran and has alot of experience on shooting.

Zoey is just a normal woman and is trying to get through the tough times of the infected(will explain infected soon) she is the only female in this group

Louis is an African American who is also just a normal citizen trying to get through, as you can see the way he dresses with his jacket off and an overlay t-shirt with a tie and you can also see his watch.

Francis is a tough biker who always makes jokes and comments about things. He seems to use the phrase “I hate…” whatever the circumstance your in. If you are at a train wreck he will say “I hate trains.” Although he does not say that ALL the time.

In Left 4 Dead there are conversations and merry jokes while they are running. This happens at random and the characters form a conversation with each other, but not for very long. This seems to make the atmosphere more real. You can also add vocalize commands through the console button where you bind it to a key and your character will say what you phrase you wanted too.

If i had to write a book it would be about the game that i very muchly enjoy called ‘Left 4 Dead’

There is not much of a story line to begin with except that  there are 4 survivors needing to escape the place where you are started at.

The 4 characters are called Bill who is an old war veteran,Francis who is a motorbiker gang type of person,Louis who is an African American who is just a normal citizen and Zoey who is the only female in the group she also is a normal citizen.

Left 4 dead is a co-operative first person shooter video game. It was devloped by turtle rock studies which was purchased by the company ‘Valve corperation.’

It also uses third-person perspective during cut scenes. (A cut scene is where you have no control of your character and sorta does it’s own thing or animation.A cut scene is sort of like a scene where your character moves and talks where you don’t press or click anything(although sometimes you might)

I have no ownership or what so ever anything to do with creating with this game. Left 4 dead is made by Valve Corporation and this guide is only use for entertainment or for help. This guide does not include cheating or hacking.
